Just come across this paper, which has recently appeared online:
Ross, D. Psychological versus economic models of bounded rationality, Journal of Economic Methodology.
Nothing explicitly to do with housing, but relevant to the discussion.
It looks like it is going to be part of a special issue on approaches to bounded rationality.
If you don’t have access to the JEM journal then google the paper’s title and a free to access pdf version comes up via a university website.
